Working with Objects

After connecting to your Object Storage, you can work on your buckets.

How to Work with Objects

  1. Select a Connection to expand all the buckets.
  2. Double-click a bucket to see the files and folders stored in it.

The bucket content will open as a new tab on the right-side grid. In the new tab, you can Upload, Download and Delete your files by right-clicking the file.

  • Upload New Files or Folders

You can upload your files or folders by clicking the 'Upload' button, or you can simply drag and drop your file or folder from your Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows).

Note that when uploading a file/folder or downloading a file, please check if the file name doesn’t exist in your local file system or bucket. Otherwise, it will be replaced. If using an Amazon S3 bucket, ensure the file's name matches Amazon S3 Object Key Name Guidelines.

  • Preview a CSV or Parquet File

You can preview files up to 15 MB from our Object Store (Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud). Double-click the file or right-click and select “Open in Tab” to preview and quickly check it before proceeding with other tasks.

  • Download Files

If you need to refresh all your buckets or connections simultaneously, use the Refresh icon (🔄) on the Object Store tab in the upper right corner.

Copy and Paste the Path

You can copy and paste an object path from the address bar using the following commands: Command+C (Mac) / Ctrl+C (Windows) for copying and Command+V (Mac) / Ctrl+V (Windows) for pasting. Alternatively, right-click on the path in the address bar and select "Copy Path" or "Paste Path."

Another method is to right-click on the file or folder and choose "Copy Path" (you can opt for either Absolute or Relative Paths).
